My political career

Today, I became Vice President of the Health Law Society at my school. My first item of business is to arrange a debate between proponents and opponents of universal health care to take place at DU in April. The panel will include health care professionals, local politicians, and attorneys. I will enjoy pitting people against one another and seeing how they defend their positions. With my power, I feel like a Roman Dictator, letting big cats loose in a collesium full of gladiators.

I'm Done

These are before and after shots

I feel as though a heavy burden has been lifted off of my shoulders. I feel.......free. There is nothing that gave me more pleasure then telling my sexist, racist, stuck in the 50s boss, that I will be leaving after two weeks. I no longer am going to work for him. I wish I could tell him how I really feel about him. How I hate his management style, how I think he should set the raccoons free into the wild instead of killing them. Everyday, I went to work I prayed that I could soften my heart towards him. I really tried hard to like him, but it was just no use. I guess I'm far far away from ever being Christlike. He was just too much for me. But now, I can pursue a different career, one far away from animal trapping and angry customers. I'm free.

Hi everyone!

FYI, I put a post up on my blog: www.jenbahrens.blogspot.com about a little trip we took this weekend. I'm too tired to copy it onto this blog--maybe there's an easy way to do that but I don't know it yet. Anyways, take a right, check it out!

Love,

Jen

Who wants to move to the Montana-Canadian border, set up a self-sustaining commune, and wait for the second coming?

Jennifer Lynn Ahrens

Happy Birthday Jen!!!

You're a great sister and I'm thankful for the good example you've always set for the rest of us. You've always been so kind to me and have always been there to help me, especially when I have difficulty with my homework assignments. Thanks again! I hope you have a fantastic day. I love you! Amy

The news you've all been waiting for

Hello. So I know I'm a little late to be jumping on the band wagon but I've started up a blog. You can look at it here: http://youaremyfave.blogspot.com/ Warning: I know you all want to know the everyday happenings of Ryan and I but this blog is mostly dedicated to my design/fashion finds. It may bore some of you. Warning: Some of you may hate my style. To those of you who do, just don't look at my blog. Warning: This is not an original idea. There are thousands of other blogs out there dedicated to the same kind of stuff. In fact, I get most of my ideas from other blogs, so sue me. So there it is, spread the word and most importantly comment on all of my awesomeness.

PS Lost was soooo good last week!

catch up

Well we're alive in New Jersey in spite of our outrage over John McCain's trickery in Florida. I thought I'd post a few pictures of the past couple months:

Christmas family picture

Christian as wise man, Claire as angel and Joseph as sheep in the ward nativity play.

In December, I got to go on a field trip with Christian's class to the Museum of Natural History. Here's Christian in front of Dum Dum. If you don't know who Dum Dum is, watch Ben Stiller in Night at the Museum.

Here's the kids playing Harry Potter the week they all had strep throat and were home from school for 4 days.

In these pictures, the kids are wearing their pajamas inside out because their Primary teachers told them they would have a snow day if they wore their PJs inside out. However, their efforts and belief in the Primary teachers were crushed the following morning when we got hardly any snow and they went to school without so much as a delayed opening. Gracie was walking around in my shoes that night.
Thats pretty much it. Ron is a high councilor now. He'll do a great job. I still have no calling besides that of church widow.
