It's all over

Well, now this election becomes a choice between the lesser of two evils.

3. i hooked up super mario brothers again and have been playing it a little.

4. i have been walking everyday, sometimes twice a day. i even got up a few time before the kids and went before michael left for work.

A bunch of things nobody probably cares about

I'm going to admit, I've definitely been a contributer to the lack of posts on this site. I think about posting and then talk myself out of it because I feel like what I have to say probably isn't worth wasting your time with, but at Amy's request I will speak even if nobody is listening.

Amy, never be ashamed to admit that you're excited about a tv show. The writer's strike has basically ruined my life. I am now forced to watch American Gladiators (okay, we really only watched this once and Ryan liked it far more than I did) and The Apprentice. It's so painful that I actually don't turn on the tv most nights and resort to reading and going to be early. What a shame. I am very excited about Lost but disappointed that it's on Thursday nights now. That means The Office, 30 Rock, Scrubs and Lost are all on the same night. And unlike the rest of the US population, Ryan and I don't have a TIVO. Heck, we don't even have cable. Most of our Thursday nights will now be occupied by balancing the antenna on top of the tv.

I have tried to stay out of the election as much as possible until the final candidates are chosen but Ryan is making that hard to do. Last week, because he didn't have school, he probably spent 5 hours a day looking at political websites and listening to and watching political commentary. I didn't think I had any strong opinions about any of the candidates until last week when Hilary won New Hampshire and I suddenly found myself ranting about the only reason she won is because she had cried the day before and she just thinks she's so awesome and doesn't think anybody could beat her and blah blah blah. I guess I really dislike Hilary. I think Ryan found the whole situation quite humorous. I would just like to say, Jon listen up, that I am basically middle of the road when it comes to politics but I do not have anything against Democrats and would not mind voting for Obama. There I said it, Jon can now disown me as his sister in law.

Now for some actual news- if everybody wasn't informed, I did get a job at an advertising agency in December. Finding a job that I actually wanted was a lot more challenging then I thought it would be and took a lot more time but I'm really grateful that I am now working full time and for the most part enjoying it. I mean, I would rather just get money for sleeping in and shopping everyday but if I have to have a job, this is a good one.

We hope that we will be able to see everybody this summer, and are always on the look out for cheap tickets. As always, everybody is welcome to come to Denver where we will outfit you with a futon and some boxed brownies.

P.S. Two movies I am looking forward to seeing that you might be entertained by also 1. King of Kong: Fistful of Quarters http://www.billyvssteve.com/ 2. Be Kind, Rewind (I have a platonic crush on Jack Black. But really, who doesn't?) http://www.bekindmovie.com/youtube.html

We also just saw Juno last week which I really liked but if you don't like movies full of sarcasm, normalness, and emotional yet witty plots then it won't be your fave.

Let's get this going again!

I've decided we need to start blogging once again. What is going on with everybody? Basically, I've got Dad and Janelle on a workout program. Janelle choose to do this on her own. I forced dad into doing it. If anyone else would like help, you know how to reach me.

Riley and I haven't been up to much lately. I'm having a hard time staying motivated to do my school work. I have two more semesters and already I have senioritis. It's a shame. Running is going pretty well, I've had some good practices. My first meet is this weekend in Pocatello where I will be running the mile.

Riley is involved in a Basketball league and a soccer league. He also is really into racquetball lately. He gets 3 hours of paid exercise during work and he uses it to play racquetball. It's pretty funny I got him his own racquet for Christmas and a sweatband to wear while he plays. Then he went and bought himself his own set of goggles. He's a pretty intense player.

Events in our life....."Lost" is starting up again at the end of January. Ryan and Melanie I hope you are aware. That's the biggest thing for us right now, a tv show.

Hope to hear from everyone soon.

I looked up Kamiakin High School on Wikipedia. At the bottom of the page, look who's listed as "Notable Alumni." This should interest some of you.

Vacation

Vacation

Hi everyone, Mel and I got back yesterday. We were exhausted upon arrival because the littlest exertion after living a sedentary lifestyle for two weeks taxes the mind and body. It was fun with the Bellessas; a few of Melanie's sisters came with their husbands and kids and so we spent some time with everyone. We didn't do anything really active. Just layed around everyday, played games, ate food, the usual drill. It was fun and relaxing.

I talked to Jon yesterday and he said everyone was talking about how I am bitter because Jon got a computer for christmas. I'm sorry to disappoint you all, but that is simply not the case. The day I got married was the day I abandoned my bitter-prone attitude towards life. I acknowledge there was a time in my life when I believed I was overlooked. As I step back, I realize that attitude was neither warranted nor constructive in any way.

Thanks for all the nice presents Mom and Dad and Secret Santas! Mom and Dad got us some clothes that Mel, in particular, was very happy to get. Excellent taste Mom. They also got me a Seinfeld DVD and other good surprises. Evan got me the Bob Dylan documentary and Jon got Mel "Eat, Pray, Love" a book she has wanted. Mel got me the Bourne DVDs trilogy and the new Rivers Cuomo CD. I got Mel some CDs, Roman Holiday, and some clothes. The Bellessas got us a DVD Jeopardy game, but it wouldn't work so we returned it and we ordered yet more books and dvds from Amazon.com, my favorite store. We also got a blanket made by Melanie's mom. Sorry we were unable to use our phones in Montana.

Well, with the election results from yesterday I vow to spend the rest of my life working against the republican party. Bye,

Ryan
