After reading your comments to Jen's post below, I was tempted to make the politically correct observation that most Americans think that all people of asian descent look alike -- whether they do or not. After futher examination, however, I came to the conclusion that these two women may actually look alike. What do you think?

They do NOT look alike and my family IS stereotyping Asian women.
By the way, I am with my friend Hui Cheng and her son Kenny. They are in our ward. We are at the Halloween parade for our town. I am wearing a costume that Hui Cheng bought on clearance at Marshall's for $4 that day. I have no idea what the costume is and I think thats why it was on clearance.
Jonny what exactly do you mean "same type of friends"?
they do not look alike, but i for sure was not stereotyping...perhaps it is because we haven't seen ivy in 15 years...hmmm, why do we jump to the conclusion that we are being negative towards asians?? i have many asian friends and do not think they all look alike. i can tell the difference mostly, between chinese, japanese, vietnamese and sometimes korean people. i guess everyone really liked ivy and knew her and wondered if you were still friends with her. i guess not...
Janelle as you know, we often say things in our family to elicit reactions from each other. My above comment was just a joke.
Ivy was a really nice friend. Last I heard, she was working for some big bank type company in Manhatten but I haven't spoken with her since before my mission.
i still cant tell a difference.
