Friendly Cat or Viscious Beast?

This is a picture of our cat Sweety's most recent kill. We find a ripped up carcass like this on our front porch almost everyday, usually a gopher, mouse, or bird. Can anyone guess what sort of animal this was? I suppose it's good that our cat lets no vermin reach the house, but does he have to present it to us? Like a trophy? Or is he, like Han Solo, expecting a reward for his trouble?

The cat is a sentinal, guarding against the rodents of the dusty Columbia Basin. This picture conjures up more happiness than disgust. Does that make me less human? The cat who keeps my home clear of vermin is the cat who is my best friend.

Evan has informed me that this picture is the cleaned up version. SCARY. I have been absolutely horrifiDE to come over on several occasions to a literal blood bath of, mice, snakes, birds and goffers. Why and how did this black cat literally severe the head off this rabbit. He ripped it to shreds. That is what makes for a gruesome horror film. I am slightly afraid of this beast. When we come over the cat is eyeing my smallest child, perhaps he sees sadie as small prey.

I think this is cool. I never saw a dead rabbit before.

Funny how Claire thinks it is cool, and Jon thinks its gross. Dad just said that Jon is a wuss on things like this.
